Privacy Policy

Effective 7 October 2026 · Applies to HUBx (hubxconnect.com).

Plain-language summary. This page explains what data HUBx collects, why we collect it, where it is stored, and how you can access or delete it. It is written in plain English on purpose.

1. What we collect

We collect only what the platform needs to function. That includes:

Account data: the email address and password you sign up with (the password is stored as a strong one-way hash, never in plain text), and your full name.
Profile data: everything you choose to add to your profile — job title, company, location, bio, website, LinkedIn, phone, skills, certifications, projects, availability status, avatar, cover photo, CV, and cover letter.
Content you post: posts, images, comments, reactions, messages, job applications, and any files you upload.
Session and security data: a session cookie that keeps you logged in, the IP address and user-agent of each session, and a log of login attempts.
Interaction data: who viewed your profile, who reacted to your posts, who follows you, and similar platform activity. This is visible only to you and to the person who generated it.

2. Why we collect it

To provide the service — logging you in, showing your profile, delivering your feed, sending your messages.
To power the professional network — letting other users find you, connect with you, and see your public activity.
To moderate content — automated moderation of images and text is used to enforce our Content Policy and keep the platform safe. Automated tools review the content you upload before it appears publicly.
To secure the platform — detecting abuse, preventing spam, and protecting accounts.
To communicate with you — service messages, account notices, and (if you enable them) notifications about activity on your account.

3. Where your data is stored

HUBx runs on Cloudflare infrastructure. Structured data (accounts, posts, comments, messages) is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. Files and images (avatars, cover photos, CVs, uploaded documents) are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage and served from hubxconnect.com. Automated content-moderation runs on Cloudflare's AI infrastructure and processes content only for the purpose of moderation.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers. We share data with third parties only when required to operate the platform (Cloudflare as our infrastructure provider), when you ask us to, or when we are legally required to.

4. What is public and what is private

Some parts of your profile are public by default — your name, job title, company, and public posts. You control the visibility of everything else through your profile settings. You can set sections of your profile to public, members only, or only me.

Your CV and cover letter are visible only to the audiences you choose (public, recruiters, or private). Your phone number defaults to "members only". Your messages are visible only to you and the other participant.

5. Cookies

We use one essential cookie: a session cookie that keeps you logged in. It is HttpOnly and Secure and cannot be read by JavaScript. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that identify you personally.

6. Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your profile, posts, comments, messages, and uploaded files, except where we are required to retain a record for legal or security reasons (for example, a record of a serious Content Policy violation).

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you. You can export your data at any time from your settings page.
Correct anything inaccurate. You can edit your profile at any time.
Delete your account and data. You can do this from your settings page, or by emailing us.
Object to specific processing. Contact us if you have a concern.

To exercise any of these rights, email mohamedabdalaty63@gmail.com. We will respond as quickly as we can.

8. Children

HUBx is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, email us and we will remove it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of HUBx after a change means you accept the updated policy.
